  • If you are skunked for any of the events throughout the year, you owe $10 per team that will go towards the yearly banquet. Hats for the team who gets skunked, they must wear them at the following event or they will be fined $50 for not complying. “Back to Back Skunks” in also be required to wear the bright Yellow Vest. Bret Arones is going to collect the money two times during the year. If there are multiple teams that are skunked for that event, we will go off the previous event(s) to determine which team wears the hats.
  • The year-end banquet will be held on September 23rd, 2009 at Hidden Haven Bar and Grill in Ham Lake (Tentative) where we will hand out the trophy’s and prize money.
  • In the case of a tie at the end of the year, we have three tie-breakers.

1) Team with the most first place finishes.

2) Team with the most overall inches for the year.

3) Team who recorded the most points at the September 19th, 2009 event.

  • Should the weather turn bad on a league night, we will cancel the night and we have two nights prescheduled for Wednesday make ups. July 15th is for the first half of the season and August 26th for the second half. Now if the weather is bad on a Saturday event we will try to reschedule it for Sunday (the day after). If for some reason any of those days don’t work we will drop that event for everyone. We ask that we get contact numbers for everyone so we can contact them in the case we have to cancel and/or reschedule.
  • Anyone wanting to release a fish should either take a digital picture of it on the ruler and/or find another boat in our league to witness it.
  • The Mille Lacs event is a 2-day event again this year with each day counting as an event. We will be going out of McQuoids or Eddy’s (tentatively) this year. The first event is scheduled for Saturday from 6:00am to 4:00pm and the second event starts Sunday at 7:00 am to 3pm.
  • We will post a contact list of all the teams and their phone numbers once the league starts. Contact information for the league.

  • All rules are subject to change. We will all vote online and majority (51%) rules.
  • Changing of “Lakes”, “Start/End Times” during the season will be done by voting online and 51% is needed to make the change and but only if there is a problem with the current Lake/Times.
  • Rules

1.    Cheating is not tolerated! If you are caught violating any of the league rules, you will be DQ’d and receive 0 points for that event. The second time you will be docked for that event and the previous event. On your third violation you will be DQ’d for the season.

2.    Everyone must check in after every event and have their fish measured (on Official league ruler) to receive any points for that event.

3.    Only one team member has to be present to receive points for that event. You can have anyone sub for either team member but you must contact one of us before the event and let us know. You can fish with as many people in the boat as you wish, but only fish caught by the individuals from the teams can enter them in the event. We encourage everyone to bring others and to enjoy fishing but we ask that everyone be honest when entering fish in the league.

4.    You must follow Minnesota state regulations and any lake or county regulations as well.

5.    In the case we are fishing on a catch and release lake, you will have to keep track of the fish you catch and turn it in (with digital photo’s) at the end of the event. Once again please be honest, the league is about fishing and sportsmanship not win at all costs.

6.    There will be a minimum length on all species:

Ø   Sun Fish – 7.5”

Ø   Crappies – 9”

Ø   Bass – 12” ( include Small Mouth)

Ø   Walleyes – 12”

Ø   Northern – 19”

Ø   Muskie – 30”

Ø   The exceptions to these are lake minumums

7.    Pre-Fishing is not allowed on the day of the event.

8.    Start of Event:

Ø   We will meet in front of the boat launch as a group prior to the start of an event.

Ø   We use the GPS clocks to manage the scheduled start time of the event. (Unless specified differently for special circumstances).

9.    End of Event:

Ø   We will return to the spot from which the event started for the “Measure-In”. You will be required to be at this spot by the scheduled End time of the event. Your boat license must be readable by the other boats already at the spot. (Unless specified differently for special circumstances).

Ø   We use the GPS clocks to manage the schedule end time of the event. If you have fish and are late to the spot, you will not be eligible to qualify for any points other than the 5 points for showing up at the event. If you have motor trouble, you must contact someone from the league and let them know a head of time. This is not a skunk.

10. We will have Tony Junker the official measurer on each event. He will go from boat to boat measuring the fish and Steve Wuornos will record them. Tony will use the same ruler to measure everyone’s fish. He will bring his ruler from boat to boat.

11. When measuring fish for length, we will only measure to the ¼ inch (i.e. if a fish measures 18 5/8 inches, we would mark down 18 ½ inches).

12. Anyone who submits a fish for measurement that is too small (i.e. a Crappie that is less than 9”) will be penalized $10 per fish. If the fish does not measure up on League Official Ruler (The Judge), Tony will measure it on your ruler. If the fish measures up on your rule there will be no penalty. If the fish does not measure up on your rule, you will be penalized. So remember that when you give the fish to Tony it may cost you $10.
